What does Renergy’s energy mix look like?

Several weeks ago we described what the “green” (or “clean”) energy mix is. But what does the energy mix look like in practice? And, more importantly, in what proportions?

Let’s examine this using our example: Renergy’s energy mix for the past six months. Although our energy mix includes not only solar energy, it is mostly clean. It consists of energy from:

• “Clean” carbon-free and carbon-neutral sources, accounting for 87.6%.
• “Dirty” carbon fossil fuels at 3.5%.
• Other sources which are hard to trace (primarily energy imports/trading).
